Instructions on how to create a wedding website

A short demonstration of how easy it is to create a wedding website on the WeMarry platform and how to maximize its potential.

1. Complete registration

To create a website, you need to register.

You can do this by clicking the Register button in the upper right corner or the Try button in the middle of the homepage.

Fill in your email and complete the registration. You can edit the entered data at any time later.

2. Filling in information

Editing the website is very intuitive. In the left part of the screen you will see the editor divided into sections. In the right part you will see the current website preview.

You can easily add a second language to the website in the Settings tab. The language version is not translated automatically, so you have to fill it in yourself.

The date format of the wedding is set automatically according to the device’s system, not according to the language of the website, i.e. if you have the system in English, you will see the date in English format even on the Czech version of the website.

You can easily upload photos via the button Upload. From any device you need, you don’t have to move them to a computer or tablet.

After filling in the information, don’t forget to click the Save Changes button.

3. Choosing a template and other appearance adjustments

If you want to try how your website would look in a different design, you can change the template at any time in the Appearance tab.

In this tab you can select a template, change colors and other elements on your wedding website.

You can edit the appearance of the website at any time, even after it has been published and sent to wedding guests.

4. Wedding gifts

In the wedding gifts section, you can let guests know what you would like and you have several options.

  • QR payment – it is becoming increasingly common for material gifts to be replaced by financial resources. However, some people do not want to donate large amounts in cash, so we have added the option to upload a QR code to the website, where you only need to generate a payment in your online banking and you can be sure that the money will go where it should.
  • List of gifts – you also have the option to list material gifts that would make you happy, and you can add a link directly to the dream gift for each item.
  • Gift reservation – to avoid the situation where several identical gifts meet at the wedding, guests have the option to reserve a gift in the RSVP form, which is then crossed out in the list, to make it clear that this gift has already been taken care of.

5. Participation confirmation form

First, set the form password in the Settings tab. The password is mandatory and cannot be turned off for security reasons.

So that guests do not have to enter a password, you can send them a special link that automatically unlocks the form. This link will be on the Dashboard under the QR code after payment.

In the form editor you will see the Built-in questions and Custom questions tabs. Fill in the questions that will help you plan your wedding.

You will see the total number of confirmed guests and children on the Dashboard. You can find individual guest responses in the Invitations section.

6. Payment and domain selection

You can try creating a website for free. If you want to share your wedding website with friends and take advantage of its potential, you need to publish the website.

You can publish your wedding website by clicking the Pay button. You can pay easily by card.

After payment, you will see the option to Select a domain. You have two options to choose from.

  • WeMarry domain – simply select the prefix and the main domain on which your website will be available, e.g. modern.wemarry.io .
  • Custom domain – if you have purchased your own domain e.g. novakovi.cz you will see instructions on how to change the DNS records, after which your website will be available at that address.

7. Sending out invitations

You have filled in the website, paid for it and now you would like to invite wedding guests. With WeMarry you have several options.

  • Link without password – if you send guests an ordinary link to the website, e.g. modern.wemarry.io, keep in mind that guests will need a password to confirm their participation in the wedding.
  • Link with password – after payment, you will see a link on the dashboard that will contain the password in the URL. In that case, the form will unlock automatically and guests do not have to fill it out.
  • Send by e-mail – if you know the e-mail addresses of your guests, you can send them invitations directly to their inbox. This method has the advantage that WeMarry recognizes whether guests have filled out the form and if not, it will automatically remind them.

8. Dashboard

The dashboard functions as an overview and guide to other sections of the WeMarry application.

You will also find a countdown to the wedding, an overview of guests, a TO DO list, a QR code to download or a link with which guests will not have to enter a password to the form.

You can add the QR code or link to the wedding website to the wedding announcement so that guests know where to find all the important details about your wedding.
